E series AMD processor 65nm with 65w or less power requirements. A 780G motherboard with built in ATI radeon 3200 with HDMI output. At least 500GB or hard drive space. For the OS home premium or ultimate vista. 80 plus rated power supplies and 3GB or more ram with a 64bit OS. Do you find this valuable?

3GB is too much for what we need. 2GB is enough. And Vista home basic is fine for our budget.

Why would you go Vista basic? That defeats the whole purpose of a HTPC considering you lose out on Media Center.
